Hey everyone –
I know you have been waiting a long time for an update about the Spy School movie — and I am sure this is not what you were hoping for. It’s certainly not what I was hoping for.
After 54 weeks of doing nothing with the movie script, Disney decided that they were not going to move forward with the Spy School movie.
Why? I don’t really have a great answer for that. I was told that Disney had some concerns with the story involving kids in real danger — which you’d think they would have been able to figure out was part of the plot long ago, given the title.
Sadly, this kind of thing happens a lot in Hollywood. As I keep saying, it is very hard to get a movie made.
This does not mean the movie will never get made. My agents can now try to set the project up at another movie studio or streaming service. We will see what happens.

Most likely it will be live action. If it happens. But no one is ruling out animation.
Hi, I am a huge fan of your series Spy School. I was really thinking about why Spy School is so popular but you never made a movie on it. All my friends read Spy School. I was really hoping for a movie

Hi I looooovveeee ur books my favorite series is the space case series but I also love spy school I have read all of your books and my fav character in spy school is Erica I would be her but I would be better at being Zoe but u should make another space case book but where dash can meet Ben by going back in time as a new super power he learns from Zan and thank you for writing good books!!
Haha I think its awesome that this page still gets comments frequently. I’ve been waiting for a spy school movie since middle school and now I am 18. At this rate if I ever become a multi-millionaire, I’ll just commission the movie myself. Hoping that someday this gets picked up lol good luck SG
