   I know you normally don’t have favorites with your books, but which book or series do you think has the best plot and which do you enjoy writing the most?

   Those are all impossible questions to answer. I work very hard on plotting, so I can;t say that one book’s plot is better than another’s in the same way that I can;t say that one book is better than another. And I enjoy writing all of them equally. If I did not, then I wouldn’t;t write them all.

    I would say that most of my series do not take place in the same universe as the others.

17. Hi Mr. Gibbs!

    I need your help settling a debate:

    In Evil Spy School, one character tells Ben that another character thinks SPYDER’s scheme involves mineral rights & Indonesia (to show that they don’t really know anyhting about the scheme at that point in the book).

    Was that intentional forshadowing for Spy School Goes Wild + Spy School Blackout or just a coincidence?

    The idea for SSGW came while I was on safari and starting thinking about trying to survive in the wilderness.

    I don’t think that, given the current political climate, doing a book about fighting Arabian terrorists would be an easy sell.

I find it kind of funny considering that Ben says that Murray Hill eats more junk food than everyone else he knows put together. Sorry for making this so long.

29. Hiiiii Mr Stuart Gibbs!!!! Spy School is my FAVORITE series and a few months ago I finished the Blackout one. I can never put down your books and even sneak past my bedtime to read them!!! I just got the Spy School Entrance Exam yesterday for my birthday and the puzzles are all I can think about. I’m determined to figure them all out and enter the passcode into the website. Ever since I picked up the first Spy School book, my life is different now, I live my life knowing, the CIA may be watching!! 🙂 Anyways, this is a long comment sorry!!! I just wanted to tell you how much I LOOOOVEEE Spy School. PS once I finish the Entrance Exam I will start Charlie Thorn
    Pps I want to be just like Erica!! I’m 11 now but the reason I still play pretend is to be like Erica!!! 🙂

    That certainly seems like an indication that they might be in the same universe.

    Unless both universes have a Snakes Alive.

    I just wanted to say that when I asked you about the Tanzania-Blackout-thing, I did read the book, but it was a while ago and I sorta kinda forgot. I apologize for my mistake, and for the record, I searched up the SSB-Pulsar-thing, so, some of that was google’s fault.

    This is one of the most common questions I get and the answer is: I don’t know.

    Doing a crossover as easy as throwing all the characters into a book together. So far, I don’t have an idea that I like for it.

    P. S. Luckily, I only spotted the answer after working it out so there was no spoiler for me. I really hope this can be fixed for other people so they don’t get a huge spoiler.

    Sadly, I have no way to control what is on Google. If someone wants to ruin the fun of solving the puzzle and looking up the answer, that’s their choice. I doubt many people will look up the answer by accident.

    I was wondering if f Spy School Secret Files will effectively end the Spy School series, or if it is just a side novel, and the series will continue as normal.

    If you look at my FAQ page, there are explanations for how I came up with all of my different series.

    Coming up with any character — or any part of a book — can be the result of weeks or months or maybe even years of playing around with different ideas. The scene on the Tower Bridge was inspired by a visit to the Tower Bridge, while Alexander’s character was developed over many years of my tinkering with the idea for Spy School.

    Since MBA takes place in the future and Spy School takes place in the present, that idea will unfortunately not work.

    The Spy School series will continue as normal. There is not reason that me writing a book full of real spy stories should stop me from coming up with fake ones.

    Not only do I not have a favorite note or note signpost, I didn’t even know what you were talking about. (I just looked them up.) So I guess maybe I’m an aha moment person, because those happen a lot in my books… but I don’t really know.

    The answer to both of your questions is yes.

    Although it is really my publisher’s decision as to whether or not FJ gets turned into a Graphic novel.

    And I hadn’t done a capybara mystery because for a long time, no one knew what they were. Their popularity only happened within the last five years.
