Coming this summer: The first Moon Base Alpha graphic novel!

I am thrilled to announce that the Moon Base Alpha series is being turned into a graphic novel series — and the first book, Space Case, will be out on August 19, 2025!

Ward Jenkins, the illustrator, has done an incredible job and the book looks AMAZING!

For starters, here’s the cover.

The other books in the series will be turned into graphic novels as well. (Probably one a year for 2026 and 2027.)

  9. On Spy School Wiki, someone posted information about it that I’m not sure if it is true or not. Are you willing to confirm it?
    Here’s what it said:
    Erica goes to Ben and betrays him in a twist of events! She turns out to be working for TEN, a huge consortium of criminals bigger than SPYDER working in the shadows. Another world-changing event happens as a huge wildfire starts coming towards Ben and his friends and it is revealed that Mike also betrayed Ben for Erica and Ben gets stuck in the middle of the fire all alone with all his friends captured!
    If this is true, how did this person get access to the book already?

    If you are reading ANYTHING about future books on any site besides this one, DO NOT BELIEVE IT! This site is the only site that can be trusted.

    That is not the plot of a future book. No one has received an advanced copy.

  13. Can you please please please please please make another series that are Sci-Fi. I did read the blog post about why MBA ended so quick and why you won’t do another science fiction, but MBA is my favorite series, with FunJungle a second. Also, can you please please please try to make a FunJungle movie? I think that FunJungle would be perfect in movie form because there are lots of colors and animals which I think would be amazing in a movie. I know that this is very very hard but still please try. Maybe even an MBA movie, not Spy School because I know that Disney said no to that.

    I am not really a sci-fi writer as much as a mystery and adventure writer. So while I am not against the idea of a sci-fi series, my mind doesn’t really think that way. (The sci-fi parts of the MBA series were by far the hardest parts for me to write.)

    I would love for there to be a FJ movie or an MBA movie. Sadly, I don’t have much control over what gets turned into films. I have been trying to sell the FJ movie since even bbefore the first book in the series came out in 2010, but haven’t had any luck.

    And I have tried for an MBA movie or TV show as well.

    1) Inside Whale Done there was a mistake with Teddy and Summer’s ages will it be corrected in All Ears?
    2) how come in the Spy School graphic novels are all the guns replaced with other weapons?

  17. Also, I was wondering if the Charlie Thorne series is less popular than other ones. It seems to come out less often, and I have not heard of any plans to turn it into a graphic novel yet.
    It is my favorite, and I wish it was more popular. Is the reason why Charlie Thorne books come out less often because of lower demand in the market or because of the sheer amount of research that you have to do?

    1) Yes, that age mistake will be corrected in All ears.

    2) Showing guns is very different than describing guns. I am not allowed to show kids holding guns in graphic novels — and I really won;t be abl to show them holding guns in the movie versions either.

    The reason the CT books come out less often is because the amount of research makes them much more time-consuming to write. I hope there will be GNs based on them though.

    I would love for there to be a CT GN but at the moment, my publisher is very busy with all the other GNs.

    I don’t know whether there will be an FJ GN. I hope so, but that is up to my publisher.

    I get a lot of requests to read fanfiction and sorry, but I can’t read it all. So there’s no way I can promise to do this. I can try, though.

    It is up to you to come up with titles for your stories. How could I title a story when I don’t even know what it’s about?

  36. All your books are amazing, and I can’t wait for SS13 and the MBA graphic novel (the cover looks great). In the comments above, you said Charlie Thorne novels take a long time to write, but are you writing one right now, and (if yes) when could it come out?

    I read your blog posts about the SS movie, but they were written in 2021; have any other studios been contacted and can we expect a movie by 2030?

    I am working on the idea for another CT novel but not actively writing it.

    Sadly, every studio in Hollywood knows about SS, but none has stepped up to make it yet.
