Hey folks –

Apologies.  I probably should have announced this earlier, but it’s been a rough year so far.

Anyhow, the Spy Ski School graphic novel comes out in two weeks, on March 4 — and yes, as with all the other GNs, Barnes & Noble will be offering an exclusive edition. Each book comes with bonus content — for exactly the same price as the regular edition!

    There could be GNs of other series in the future. But they are expensive and time consuning to create so it might be a while.

    The bonus content is the what makes the exclusive edition different.

    But there are no sneak peeks. If you want to see it before you buy it, you can always go to Barnes & Noble.

    I am new to the series (my sister recommended it for me) I am on book 5. I am wondering
    what the age thing is because I am 9 and what the illustration is like I the graphic novel can you send a picture?

    No bookstore or school has ever invited me to Fresno. I can’t visit until that happens.

    Thanks for the offer, but I have plenty of people who help me with my books as it is. (Also, I wouldn’t recommend putting your email on a public site. If you want to communicate directly with me I have an email on my FAQ page for that.)

    As for Erica’s personality — she has become nicer throughout the series.

  21. Hello Mr. Stuart Gibbs, I’m a big fan of every series you’ve written, you do awesome work. Just curious, will Sage make a return to the FunJungle series (or any other series? possible crossover?). Also, how long do you plan on writing your series for, will there ever be a book where Ben or Teddy graduate?

    I only bring characters back if there is a reason they would make sense in a future book. I can;t say whether that will happen with Sage or not.

    I don’t know how long I will continue writing my series, but I can’t let my characters get too old or the books will stop being Middle Grade and become Young Adult.

  27. Hello Mr. Gibbs, I have heard rumors for a possible graphic novel of the moon base alpha series, but I understand if you can neither confirm nor deny anything. But just saying, I would love to see a graphic novel for this series! Seeing all of the characters on space would be really cool, and I would honestly want this before a graphic novel version for the FunJungle series. Thank you!

    2 quick questions:
    Have you ever tried lutefisk? Have you had an experience with it that made you put it in MBA, or did you just add it because it was Swedish?
    And at the end of SSEE, there’s a line that teases that an Evil Spy School EE could be coming out. Was that just a tease, or is that actually happening?

I’ve been working on the script for this video all school year, but only now has it occurred to me that I should ask for your permission to make this video. Super excited for this book, and I plan on picking it and SSGW up once it’s out

    I have never had lutefisk. It just is something I learned about in researching Swedish foods.

    No guarantees on an evil entrance exam yet. We will see what happens.

    1) Will you ever continue the Moon Base Alpha series? Maybe it could be in the future, when Dash is an adult and Moon Base Beta is built, or they’re living on some other planet.
    2) When could a GN for FunJungle come out?
    3) Any hints on what Charlie Thorne #5 will be about?

    The GN for MBA will be out this year.

    The MBA series will not continue. I have an old blog post explaining why.

    Don’t know when an FJGN would come out.

    No hints on CT5. I never give hints about what I will be writing next.

    I don’t wanna be rude cause I love your books but your booking signing thing with the cut out sticky note is kinda dumb. No one will actually do that they would just find another way like going to one of your book signings. Cant we just send the book to you then you sign it and send it back if we pay for shiping so much cooler.

    How on earth could you possibly think that saying something is dumb to anyone is remotely acceptable? I can think of perhaps a thousand kinder ways to express that very same thought.

    Also…

    1) The cut out thing is a joke. In the fifteen years this site has been going, you seem to be the first person who has failed to understand that.

    2) Ever though it’s a joke, people have still done it.

    3) You CAN send me the books. People do it all the time. They just ask nicely first. If you want to do that, there is a mailing address on my website. But you have to mail me a prepaid return envelope as well, because it’s really expensive to mail books.
