Evil Spy School the Graphic Novel is now available for pre-order

Evil Spy School the Graphic Novel is coming next spring.  It will be available on March 5, 2024 — although it is already available for preorder from Bookshop.org (which supports local, independent bookstores) and other booksellers.

The New York Times bestselling Spy School series continues in graphic novel form with the third book as Ben gets kicked out of the CIA’s spy school and enrolls with the enemy.

During a spy school game of Capture the Flag, thirteen-year-old Ben Ripley accidentally shoots a live mortar into the principal’s office–and immediately gets himself expelled. Not long after going back to the boring real world, Ben gets an offer to join evil crime organization SPYDER. And he accepts.

Ben can tell he’s a key part of their sinister plan, but he’s not quite sure what the plan is. Can Ben figure out what SPYDER is up to–and get word to the good guys without getting caught–before it’s too late?

Follow Ben as he goes deep undercover in action-packed, full-color panels. Once again, the art is by the immensely talented Anjan Sarkar.

  1. Lakshaya –

Since I have four series going at the moment, it is really difficult to think about what I might do next. I couldn’t possibly start another series without ending one of those. And I don’t really know which series I might end first.

  2. Hey stu
I have autism and have no friends who also have it
so can you maybe put an autistic character in SS12?
    thank you so much

SS12 is already into its seventh draft so I can’t make any major changes at this point.

I am not against the idea of having an autistic character at some point in one of my series.

  4. Griffin Moran –

I promise that, if and when I have news about an SS movie, I will post about it.

  5. Mr. Gibbs

I just read SSGN and honestly i was dissapointed in the direction you took Zoe’s character. I’m not trying to be hateful, and other than that i love your writing. I realize you work hard on each and every one of your books and it’s not fair for people to be rude just because they have a different opinion. So i just want to say I’m praying for you.

  6. mr Gibbs-
I am so excited to read this book, I pre-order it as soon it was out ,and I already have the 2 previous books they are so fun to read and I hope you continue to make more.

  7. Stuart Gibbs,

Hi! I’m a big fan of all your books, but especially the Spy School series. I totally think you should make a movie.

    – Your biggest fan

  8. Erica Hale –

I have been trying to get the SS series turned into a movie for as long as i have been writing it. I have some older blog posts detailing the very long and frustrating process.

  9. Hey, Stuart Gibbs

You said you go to schools, and you live in LA. Is it possible you could go to NorCal every once in a while?

Yes, it is absolutely possible for me to visit NorCal on occasion. If you want me to visit your school, the best way to start is to direct your school librarian to my ‘School Visits’ page.

  11. Hello Mr Gibbs,
Just wanted to say I love your books and think they are great. I just finished MBA for the first time in a while and realized how much I actually love it, I finished one of the books in three hours straight. Really excited for the SS stuff coming out this year. I know you don’t take suggestions but could you put something in a book about Nebraska, I’m from Lincoln and don’t feel like we get enough attention.

  12. TBoy –

Thanks for your kind words. I can’t really promise to put anything in Nebraska, but if it makes sense for a story to go there, I’ll do that.

  13. I just wanted to so that nitroglycerin is a very temperamental explosive and no spy would ever use it because it could literally explode as they’re fighting someone and it’s a liquid not a putty also it’s very loud, pardon my bad grammar.

  14. a factual fan –

True, no spy would actually carry around nitro. But also, spy school doesn’t exist. The series is not to be taken seriously.

  15. Arshay Sivamani –

At this time there are no plans for an FJGN but perhaps there will be one in the future.

  16. guys,
I just calculated that It’ll be 9yrs until the SS series GN’S will be finished! you’ll be done by 2033

  17. Christopher Gulotta –

You have not taken into account that I am also writing a new SS book every year, so there will be more than nine more books to adapt.
