Spy Ski School

The coolest Spy School adventure yet.

The CIA has finally decided to activate Ben Ripley for real.

The Mission: Become friends with Jessica Shang, the daughter of a suspected Chinese crime boss, and find out all of her father’s secrets. Jessica wants to go to ski school in the Rocky Mountains, so a select few spy school students are going skiing too—under cover, of course.

Ben might not be able to handle a weapon (or a pair of skis), but he’s poised for success on this one. That is, until his best friend from home drops in on the trip and jeopardizes the entire mission…

  6. Hey, Stu? What hotel was the arebaell hotel(not spelled right) made after? I stayed in vail once and that map looks vaguely familiar…

    A Bog Fan

  7. Cool Guy –

Believe it or not, the Arabelle Hotel is based on…. The Arabelle Hotel in Vail.

  8. I just had an idea. What if you built a game where you go on missions with others like in spy school. I feel like that would be fun. You could create teams/groups and then compete with other teams to get the highest points on a mission. Again, just a idea.

  9. Stu-

Thanks, I’m a game designer but I’m not ready to take on a massive project yet… I know a friend who might love to help!

  10. Hi Stu, I’m going to be at the book meet in Denver, is anyone else going to be there.

P.S. I LOVED the cover and description of SSGS.

  11. Dear Stu. This is my second question. In spy ski school you talk about how the Germans take over the climax mines. How much of this is true/made up?

P.s excited for your upcoming content

  12. Jason –

If you do some research, you will discover that the Climax mine story is true — and there is much more to it than I discussed.

  13. I have read the spy ski school and it was AMAZING!!!! although there was a HUGE problem. Operation Golden Fist was scheduled on December 13, but Ben and his friends were there on December 26…. How is that so posed to work out? Besides that, this was an AWESOME book & 8 recommend it for EVERYONE!

  14. Liz –

Are you sure? I thought it was scheduled for when they were there, but maybe there’s a misprint.

  15. Hi Stuart,

I have a question regarding your title pages for your books. Why are they all the same format except for the Last Musketeer series? The font is the same and everything.

  16. Agent Schrader –

The title font is the same for all my books because that lets you know that, even though they are different series, they are all by me. It’s a very clever marketing concept employed by my excellent cover designer, Lucy Cummins. (The Last Musketeer was published by a different publisher, but as you may have noticed, they are now mimicking Lucy’s cover designs.)

  17. Hello, Stuart Gibbs. I have read SS1-5, FJ1, and MBA1-3. I enjoyed them all. My favorite was probably MBA1 or SS4. I cannot seem to get a copy of FJ2, though.
When will you do a reveal of SS7?
    Will you make a FJ6?
Will you start another series? Please do.

  18. Jesse B –

I don’t know when the reveal of SS7 will be, as I just did the reveal of FJ5. I intend to do an FJ6. And I am starting a new series. Details to come.

  19. I have an idea. You know Abby Duntz, Hank’s sister. Can you put her in Spy School 7 or 8 or something? That would be awesome! Please consider it.

  20. Jesse B –

Abby Duntz is probably not going to appear in any Spy School novels. Definitely not SS7, as I am almost finished with it.

  21. Stu-
I love your work on Spy School. It has humor, adventure, mystery, and great storytelling all wrapped up in one book-slash-series!
One question, though-if Ben can calculate the wind, trajectory, speed, and weight of something, wouldn’t that make him great at sports like basketball and bowling where you have to aim? Or maybe it’s like the gun thing, where he can aim but he doesn’t necessarily have the key components to actually throw the ball….
Sorry if the question was long and confusing.

  22. TheWize –

It’s like the gun thing. Just because you can calculate something doesn’t mean you have the physical ability to do it perfectly.

  23. Wow no one has been here in a long time I didn’t even know about ss until 2017 after ssss came out

  24. Hey, Stu-

I’ve been writing this fanfic and I was wondering if you had any spare time to check it out and tell me what you think. It’s probably not publishing-worthy material, but I did my best to make all the characters to seem in-character. It’s alright if you don’t, I know you’re busy, but I’d appreciate it if you did. Thanks.

  25. TheWize –

Sorry but I am swamped with writing and tour and now a screenplay and responding to email. So I can’t read everyone’s fanfiction and give notes on it.

  26. Stu,

    So I’m a big SS fan but…

I have not read it in a little while…

    please forgive…

ps. SS8 should be where alexander remarries and the stepmom is an operative of SPYDER
