Yes, there is an exclusive collector’s edition of Lion Down from Barnes & Noble.

I know, this might be starting to seem repetitive. Barnes & Noble has been nice enough to print exclusive collector’s editions of my last eight books.

Well, it’s happening again. B&N is printing an exclusive collector’s edition of Lion Down, the fifth book in the FunJungle series. Once again, it will have a special cover with a poster on the reverse side and 16 pages of bonus content. Although this time, the bonus content will be a little bit different, as it will include my first piece of non-fiction ever published, a true (but hopefully somewhat funny) story of my own personal encounter with a wild mountain lion. Plus some other cool stuff.

As usual, the price of the bonus edition is exactly the same as the price of the regular edition — even though you get all that extra stuff. And occasionally, the exclusive edition ships a bit earlier than the other edition. So really, if you’re going to pre-order Lion Down, there’s no reason not to pre-order the exclusive edition.

Plus, it’s easy! All you have to do is click here.

  1. Stu-

Sorry to bother you, but just one last question: Can we expect any desert-animal themed Funjungle books anytime soon?

  2. Murray Hill –

No one ever said that Lion Down was going to be the last in the series. I certainly didn’t. I am working on book 6 right now.

  3. Will we get a FJ book with an orange cover? I’d like to see that!
P.S. Octopuses haven’t been mentioned yet in FJ series. Will one be making an appearance later?

  4. Wondering –

I am going to write SS until I get tired of writing it. I do not know when that will be.

  5. Numberonefan –

I don’t control the cover color. But Charlie Thorne has an orange cover.

I do not have any plans for an octopus at the moment. But it could happen. Octopuses are cool.

  6. Stu- Which author do you look up to the most and why?
(Sorry if this sounds like an essay question)

  7. Whoever wrote the Spy School British Invasion on wattpad it was great!!! The account profile picture had a wolf or a white dog It was really great they should become a writer one day.

  8. Anonymous –

Oh, there are so many great authors… Carl Hiassen, Michael Crichton, Aimee Bender, James Ponti, Kevin Sands, Ellen Raskin… You’re right, explaining why for each of them would be an essay question, and I have other writing to do.

  9. Stu~
What has been your favorite book that you have written so far? (You can choose one from each series if it is to hard.:-)

I know you have read all the books. You should have a pretty good idea of what Ben is like by now.

I don’t have favorite books of my own. I work too hard on all of them to say that I like one more than the others.

  13. Stu- today I checked amazon and it said that SSBI’s release date was changed to April 30th! Is that true?

  14. Murray Hill-

They could definitely fail at that attempt and we might see more from SPYDER or maybe even another evil group if they do come out successful

  15. Stu-

I also saw on Amazon AND Barnes & Noble that Spy School: British Invasion’s release date was moved up to April 30th!! Does this mean that SSBI is coming out sooner?

  16. Sorry guys. Another random stupid guy is saying stupid stuff and using my name as his name.
Is there any way you can block him or something? You can see the email address right?

  17. Everyone who thinks spyschool is coming out on April 30 – Yes it is coming out sooner but thats only for hardcover (which is more expensive) the paper back comes out a little later and is cheaper.

In Pandamonium, you said that it was Summer’s last year in middle school, and next year she would be in high school. Would she still investigate with Teddy? (In the future books)Or would she appear less often?

  19. Lucy –

I like writing more than one series at once. It allows me to take breaks from each series for a while.

  20. Snowy penguin –

If Summer is in high school, she is still free to hang out with Teddy and help investigate crimes.
