Everyone is technically dumber than Ben when it comes to figuring out plots, which is Ben’s forte. But that doesn’t make them dumb. Erica has a lot more sense where other things are concerned. That’s why they make a good team. So, no, Erica is not going to be a mole or die. If you have a problem with Erica, this probably isn’t the best series for you.

Ben’s fighting skills are improving slowly.

  2. Sophie –

Thanks for pointing out anyhow. That is sort of a mistake. The title hasn’t been approved yet.

  3. Will-
How is it good if Ben has to kill his friend? That’s horrible! No wonder Stu wouldn’t do that. Since Erica is one of the main characters of Spy School, Spy School without her would be like Harry Potter without Hermione.

  4. By the way, did you know that an Isreal anti-missile defense system is actually called SPYDER?

  5. RD-
You can’t just “get fighting skills” out of thin air. Ben is a normal kid (martial arts wise) and he still needs work and training.

    Knobbelboy-
I don’t know whether to laugh or grimace. What a weird coincidence.

  6. Who is your favorite character in Spy School and why? When will there be a sneak peak preview of SSGS? Also, I know this is probably not gong to happen, but is there a way I could be a character in the book or future SS or Fun Jungle books?

  7. When will the Title for SS7 come out? Also, can there be a contest were the winner gets to have SSGS earlier? Kind of like a Special Edition but for free? That way, people who like your series but cant get your books a lot have a chance to win one for free! By the way I LOVE LOVE LOVE your books!!!!!!!!

  8. Agent T –

I do not play favorites with my characters.

There will probably be a sneak of SSGS in the paperback of Pandamonium. But I’m, not sure.

Please read my FAQ page about cameos.

  9. Agent T –

I don’t know when the title for SS7 will come out. I have to finish the book first before i name it.

There is no way to get SSGS early. It is simply not available before the release date. (There will be Advanced Reader Copies soon, but those are not finished products.)

  10. Rocky –

Go to your local independent bookstore, ask them if they will get ARCs and ask really nicely if you can buy it if they don’t want it. (Not all stores might get ARCs though. I don’t really have any idea how they are distributed.)

  11. Mr. Gibbs,
When I found the ARC for Panada-Monuiom at my local bookstore, it says on the side ‘Not for sale of quotation. Uncorrected Proof-Not for sale’
My bookstore let me keep it for free (they’re the BEST) but I think they’re actually not allowed to sell it. But I’m not sure.

  12. Rocky –

Yes, not that many ARCs are printed. They are not really designed for the general public, but for bookstore owners.

  13. Sophie –

You’re right, the bookstores aren’t supposed to sell the ARCs. But they sometimes give them away.

  14. What is the date of the ARCs coming out? Also, do you think I should get a ARC, because when I finish it, and I buy the finished copy when it comes out, wouldn’t I already know what is going to happen in the book?

  15. Rocky –

I have nothing to do with the ARCs. The publisher handles them. And yes, you are right about the issue of having ruined the finished book.

  16. Huge#1Fan-
Advanced Readers Copy. It means when the publishers send out books before the release date that aren’t exactly fully edited and ready to be sent to stores. Only a lucky few get to read them.

  17. Agent Hale –

I did know that — but it’s a fact I didn’t share with my readers. So thanks for letting them know!

  18. Hey Gibbs,
I have read many of your books and I love them you are seriously my favorite author and I cant wait till SSGS comes out I remember reading SSSS and it said it was Operation Tiger Shark. Now me and my friend almost fainted when we heard this but out librarian said your gonna be coming to my school in May! Me and my friends love your books especially The SS series and i actually bought every SS book you made except Spy Ski School because my library had it.
    Have a great day.

  19. Did you know In the early ’80s the CIA helped facilitate the widespread sale of cocaine in poor Los Angeles neighborhoods to help finance the covert war against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua. I thought it would be cool since Gibbs live in Los Angeles. Also I heard ben Ripley is an actual person. Look him up.

  20. Benjamin –

It’s hard to come up with a name that no one else has. I found out there was a screenwriter named Ben Ripley after naming my character that. The real Ben Ripley and I have hung out since. But there are probably lots of other Ben Ripleys.

Also, the CIA/cocaine in LA connection is not exactly true. Tough the CIA has done plenty of things they shouldn’t be proud of.

  21. Hey Stu,
I’m a BIG fan. I have read every book so far and I am very excited for this book, I think that this is one of the only readable series out there right now!
    Thanks

  22. Agent Hale –

The Mall of America is a pretty cool location for an action sequence. But I’m not sure about MN. Maybe in book 9 or 10…

  23. hi mr.gibbs, huge fan of SSS, i’m wondering if you’ll ever consider writing in erica’s pov?

  24. Rocky-
Me too. I so wish there was a way to get it earlier. I mean, it comes out in like 7 and a half month. Anyway, knowing how good Mr. Gibbs’s books are it will probably be worth the wait. 😀

  25. Hello!
Me and my friend would like to know if you might know who the assassin was in SS. We believe it might be Joshua. Is this true or did you think about it that way when you wrote it?
    Thanks. Love your ?

  26. Will-
Gibbs doesn’t do that but if you go to your local book store you can get things called Arcs there basically sneak peaks of a book.

  27. I wonder how much of what Stu knows about the CIA is actual information. Who wants to guess that he works for them??

  28. Stu-
I am a huge fan of your books and I have read every single one and preordered the ones that are coming out soon from Amazon. You are one of the best authors right now and your books are amazing! Can you come to San Diego sometime?
    Thanks
